Lickstones over bait hunts for Black Bear are offered on the east coast of

North Carolina in Beaufort County.

The eastern counties of NC are known for having some of the largest and most plentiful population of black bears in the United States.

The agricultural supply along with the temperatures never reaching "hibernation" range means that NC black bears eat year round, gaining upwards of 100lbs a year.

That mixed with NC's baiting laws of NO PROCESSED FOODS on the baits makes for the perfect growth and reproductive storm.
